DA’s 16^th Birthday-

My latest attempt to colour DA’s 16^th Anniversary piece, Download Template

This was used in Fae Concert for DA's 16th Birthday Celebrations, projected on the cyclorama, behind the Fae Band “MUSES”.

It looks like the bassist is doing her sound check; and, the band is still setting up. The drummer doesn’t have all her gear on stage yet.

Memo:
When I was active in community theatre and school, and such,  a couple of times I ended up talking to the audience, while the band finished setting up.  ("So, how are you doing?"/ "We want to see the band!"/ "Ya, me too." You know.)

One time the band was running really late. I had talked to everyone in the audience, literally.

When they started to get a bit impatient, I ducked behind the curtain to see what was taking so long.

The lead guitarist/ singer said, “Here. clip my mike battery pack to the back of your belt; and, I’ll say I’m looking for my mike pack; and, you turn around helping me look for it, while the drummer finishes setting up.” (It’s always the drummer. They say they have more gear.)

I wasn’t sure, saying, “I didn’t realize we were doing Burlesque.”

The guitarist said, “Kid, -Everything is Burlesque! Don’t worry about it. We’ve done this lots of times before.”

And, they were right. The audience started laughing.

So, there you go, as the song says, “Make ‘em laugh.”
