No doubt, we all have to leave things behind. Sometimes, it can be haunting.

This was made for the New Challenge: MY SADNESS', hosted by Castle-of-Cards.

Theme: Delve into your feelings and illustrate a sadness, pain or injury.

Guidelines: Must include one animal and one person.

This is an adjunct to Excavations; as the old saying goes: the past is always with us. And, sometimes it can be haunting.

When it’s hard to think, and migraines get blinding; and, it’s hard to breathe; wrestling with the oxygen gets tedious;

It’s easy to be haunted what might have been, working towards a D.Litt., before being rammed by a drunk driver, and nearly dying, from neighbours’ pesticide chemicals.

It’s harrowing to realize you’re worth less than a dandelion that people aren’t even going to eat, or use for tea.

That’s sad.
