Description

rystal Heart [WIP]

Nota Bene:

This was going to be my second entry for the Monthly challenge #February17, hosted by we-Heart-photomanip

After finishing, Forged Heart, about Rena the Renaissance Automaton Girl.

But, when doing the final credits, I couldn’t find the original stock image.

The only versions I could find were Ziegfeld Girl Anastasia Reilly, by BooBooGBs

“Ziegfeld Girl, colorized, recolored” (November 22, 2009)

And, Ziegfeld girl Marietta O Brien, by M3ment0M0ri (December 28, 2012)

“Tho i dont think this is Anastasia (i will ask to my friends of the ZF group) well...its tagged that way. As soon as i know who she really is, i will update

Credits to the ZF group, where i found this image.”

Introduction to ZIEGFELD FOLLIES

A Tribute to the Women of the Ziegfeld Follies and Alfred Cheney Johnston Who Photographed Them

Notes:

Alfred Cheney Johnston (known as "Cheney") (1885 –1971) was a New York City-based photographer known best for his portraits of Ziegfeld Follies showgirls.

Johnston usually employed a large "Century"-brand view camera that produced 11x14-inch glass-plate negatives.

He also used a Graflex camera in 3-1/4 x 4-1/4-inch roll-film format; an 8x10 view camera; and a Zeiss Ikon camera in 120 [2-1/4 x 2-1/4-inch] film format.

For International Women’s Day- [?] #BeBoldFor Change

International Women's Day (IWD) is celebrated on March 8 every year. It commemorates the movement for women's rights.

International Women's Day was first observed February 28, 1909, in New York, organized by the Socialist Party of America.

The United Nations began celebrating it in International Women's Year, 1975.
